Matthew, a beloved yoga instructor in the Delray Beach Florida area, has recently been hospitalized with a serious condition that has drastically changed his life. Over the past few years Matthew began having chronic pain and other unusual symptoms that left doctors with no concrete answers. He had four different surgeries which only seemed to worsen the situation until he woke up on April 18 unable to walk. Since his hospitalization he has had multiple tests and consults with various specialists. The doctors feel 90% certain that he has multiple sclerosis but unfortunately, until he has an official diagnosis he is unable to apply for disability.

His condition has been life altering, as he is unable to walk and is in chronic pain.Despite this challenge he has shown extraordinary courage and determination, continuing to practice yoga while bedridden to maintain his upper body strength. Matthew was the primary support for his partner John and John’s mother, who suffers from Alzheimer’s disease. He is a kind and caring dad to his 31 year old daughter and proud grandfather of a lively soon to be 6 year old. With Matthew unable to work the stress of meeting the immediate family expenses is exacerbating his condition.
