Support Matthew Miller's Battle with Cancer
Donation protected
I am raising money for Matthew Miller and his battle with cancer. Currently, Matthew cannot work and keep insurance that will allow him to get everything he needs. Trips to his medical team are 7-hour round trips. Sometimes he will need to stay where they are. He has bills and everything like the rest of us but no means to really affect that right now.
Matthew is a brother, friend, father, activist, a minister, and stories of what he has done are well known to those who have worked with him. He never did it for mass adulation. He has dedicated his life to helping others. He has traveled to 42 states, met with presidential candidates, worked to help change laws, led protests, worked for numerous anti-racist causes, raised millions for the LGBTQ+ community, raised money to help fight AIDS, and countless other causes. He let people live in his house several times that needed second chances and had nothing. He has spent his life fighting for what he thought was best, and everyone who knows him well knows this to be true. Ever since I have known him, he has always been involved in some fight or cause to help others. If someone wanted to know the kind of person Matthew is, all someone has to do is visit him. In his living room are the portraits of Bayard Rustin, MLK, Matthew Shepard, Harvey Milk, Alan Turing, Stonewall Inn, and Frida Kahlo.
He now needs the same help he helped others with. Share his story, share his message of hope and sacrifice for others. If you cannot help right now, please at least share what’s happening. Be passionate with me about helping Matthew.
Lastly, once his fight is won (and with all of our love and support it will be won), he will need a job and enough support until he does. He risks losing the ability to purchase his family home that has been his saving grace. So if your company needs an amazing IT, HR, or just leadership person, that’s him. He has worked for several of the biggest companies, but at this point, he needs flexibility so he can work and continue treatment. He has many thousands of people left to help, so let’s help make sure he is in a place to do so. Please share this story, please help me help someone who has actually made a difference for the little people.
