Matthew Pendergrass is a high school senior who has always given back to his community. He plays basketball, volunteers at the local fire department, and is known for his kindness and dedication. His mother, Marie, works at the community waste center despite her ongoing health challenges. Together, they lived with Matthew’s grandmother, who was a vital part of their lives and a main source of financial support.

Recently, Matthew and Marie lost their beloved grandmother and mother. Her passing has left a significant emotional and financial gap in their lives, and this loss will inevitably, make it difficult for them to keep up. Especially as Matthew approaches the important milestone of his senior year.

We are reaching out to our community to help support Matthew during this difficult time.
