Hello, my name is Matthew Holtsclaw. I’m a former Marine, an aspiring biologist, and a nature enthusiast. I’ve been working diligently since I was 16. After my time in the military, I went on to study and found a fulfilling career. I’m proud of what I accomplished, but life took a sudden turn. God had other plans for me on January 18, 2025.

Unfortunately, severe medical setbacks have affected nearly every aspect of my life. Extensive testing and MRIs revealed a rare neurological disorder that causes seizures. Despite these challenges, my amazing fiancé, wonderful family, and supportive friends have shown their love and helped me cope. Despite the setbacks, my life has improved. Amidst everything, my family’s faith in God and His healing power remains unwavering ✝️ My relationship with Him has never been stronger.

As my friends and family know, I’m not one to ask for help, but God keeps teaching me lessons every day. Sometimes, we all need a helping hand. As my mom would say, I’m still struggling to adjust to this ‘new normal.’ My mobility has taken a nosedive, and I’ve gone from conquering trails to using a cane. It’s been a tough adjustment, let me tell you! 

Due to my diminished mobility and increased liability risk, my health condition has resulted in the loss of my job, causing substantial financial strain on our family during these challenging times. We’re drowning in bills and I can’t work. The SSA disability process is a real rollercoaster but we’re holding on tight and fighting the good fight! The funds and proceeds from donations would help offset living expenses during this difficult time. We appreciate any and ALL donations. Thank you so much. Despite these challenges, I know good will come of this. We’re doing our best to get through this, and we appreciate your love and care.
