Support Matthew & Alexis Through Tragic Loss

Our names are Matthew and Alexis. We had an overall normal, healthy pregnancy. We still don’t know what happened to our baby. Nancy Marlene Holly was born at 31 weeks 6 days on April 12, 2024 as a sleeping angel. 4lbs7.7oz 17.5” long. The Friday before, April 5, 2024 we had a normal appointment where Nancy looked and sounded great however, I noticed her movements weren’t normal that next Tuesday April 9, 2024, and by early morning Wednesday April 10, 2024 we were going to the ER because I knew something was wrong with my baby. Multiple doctors trying to hear or see a heartbeat, but our baby girl was pronounced dead and induction had to start. We had many complications during labor with the drugs. I had to be practically overdosed on Cytotec then pitocin to get the ball rolling. And then the epidural wasn’t working as I was going through the most intense contractions. A stressful time to say the least.

We’re home now trying to heal and cope with our new reality of not having our baby with us, but now hospital bills are pouring in and they’re so much more than what we’d thought they’d be. I’m currently not working as I had to go to the ER in the middle of a training period so I was terminated until the next start date with the company. And my fiance Matthew does construction for $18/hr. We’re struggling as it is with bills and now the hospital bills on top just make this challenge seem impossible. We’re not the type of people to ask for help unless we really truly need it. And in a time like this, we really do need the help.
