Matthew is a 15-year-old high school student who I taught in a program a number of years ago. Three years ago, he lost his mom to cancer, and just a few weeks ago, he lost his dad to the same illness. Matthew is athletic, academically oriented, and passionate about soccer and movies. He is currently living with his aunt, who is doing her best to care for him, but she does not have the financial means to fully support him on her own.

The loss of both parents in such a short time has been incredibly hard on Matthew. Despite these challenges, he remains inquisitive, caring, and determined to succeed. He is a positive child with an infectious smile, and his spirit continues to shine even in the face of adversity. Our biggest concern now is ensuring that Matthew can stay with his family and not be placed into foster care. With your help, we can provide the stability and support he needs during this difficult time.

All funds raised will go directly toward Matthew’s living expenses, food, and an educational summer program that will help him continue to grow and thrive.
