On March 21, my boyfriend Matteo was going to visit friends when he was cut off by a car on his motorcycle. He was forced to turnout, causing an accident that has left him with a bruised lung and a broken scapula. He will now be facing months without work and hospital bills on top of his rent and living expenses.

We're reaching out to our local community for assistance. Matteo has been a Venice local for nearly a decade, building lasting friendships wherever he goes. You may also recognize him from the Santa Monica farmers market where he packages your garlic and leafy greens with a smile. As an active person, he finds joy in being in the outdoors – skateboarding, surfing, hiking, you name it, and he probably does it.
