Matt Truitt is a devoted husband and proud father of two amazing kids. For the past two years, his world has been turned upside down by a relentless battle with Lymphoma. What was first thought to be a slow growing, manageable cancer revealed itself to be far more aggressive and difficult to treat. Matt has endured surgeries, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, radiation and even a failed CAR-T therapy. Now, he faces more rounds of inpatient chemotherapy in Philadelphia, possible clinical trials, and the hope of a life-saving bone marrow transplant. Recently, a routine procedure intended to help him brought an unexpected setback, re-expansion pulmonary edema- leaving him temporarily dependent on oxygen. Though frightening, Matt meets each challenge with determination and unwavering courage. More than anything, Matt dreams of regaining the strength to return to the life he loves: traveling with his family, cheering on his beloved Raiders (win or lose), supporting his local theatre company, and taking peaceful evening walks with his wife Joy, savoring the beauty of everyday moments.
