Matt Tehonica is known by many in the community as Matt, Pops, Coach T, Grandpa T, and many other nicknames among friends and family. Most notably, he is known for organizing and running the Turkey Bowl, for over 40 years, in which he helped raised money for cancer patients and families within the community. He has always been a very active and positive member of his community his entire life, bringing warmth and smiles wherever he goes, especially when Elvis starts playing.

As many of you may already know, Matt is having open heart surgery this week. This will be a major surgery with a lengthy recovery time, putting Matt out of work for an extended period of time. Between medical bills, monthly bills, and recovery time, we are hoping to raise some money to help Matt through this difficult and unexpected time in his life. The goal is to raise enough to help cover any outstanding medical costs, keep monthly expenses and bills caught up, and allow him to have a less stressful recovery while he is out of work.

Matt has had many battles in life, both on and off the field, but this is a battle he could use some support with. Matt has helped so many people over the years, but this time he is the one who could use some help. Thank you for your support and consideration. Go Yankees!
