Support Matt Shambley's Road to Recovery

In October of 2024, a drunk driver hit one of the members of our community here in Hampstead NC. His name is Matt Shambley.

He was ran over by the same drunk driver after being hit on his motorcycle. This happened in front of our road on Hwy 210. At the time his chances looked grim. My husband and myself were so worried that man had lost his life. We cried and prayed as hard as we could. We did not even know him personally. By the grace of God, I received a message on Facebook from a friend who knew him, then from Matt and he was alive! He was badly maimed, his toes had to be amputated due to his foot being ran over by the truck. His spine and shoulder were pinned under his helmet at the rear of the truck for over 10 minutes and the Drs are still trying to find out what is keeping his shoulder from working properly. The same arm had the elbow broken. He has a long road ahead of him. Multiple surgeries and having to stay with his mother and family while he recovers. He will never be the same, but he is ALIVE! Glory to God for keeping this man on earth. He has a purpose and our Lord and savior knows that. He has been through so much. We get updates regularly as we have stayed in touch. It has been hard for him to keep his home here in Hampstead while having to afford all these hospital visits, surgeries, and daily life. He remains optimistic despite everything he's gone through, which we find extremely admirable. He hurts privately and always puts on a brave face. Please donate whatever you can, anything helps. He needs all the support and prayers he can get! I wanted to start him a gofundme back when this first happened, but he is a prideful man, which most are. He didn't want handouts from anyone. Please share this as much as you can and let's get him the help he needs and deserves.

PSA: DONT DRINK AND DRIVE!!! A life could have been taken that night. Never forget in the blink of an eye your life could change, unfortunately his did, but he is still here with us today!

PLEASE STAY OFF THE ROADS IF YOU HAVE HAD ANY ALCOHOL! TOO MANY PEOPLE HAVE DIED OR ARE CHANGED FOR LIFE OVER A STUPID DRINK!!!
