Help My Dad, Matt Rimar, Fight Thyroid Cancer

Hi everyone,

My name is Olivia Rimar, and I’m reaching out during a really tough time for our family. My dad, Matt Rimar, was recently diagnosed with thyroid cancer. His surgery is scheduled for June 4th, and while we’re hopeful about his recovery, we’re also facing a lot of uncertainty — emotionally, physically, and financially.

My dad is one of the most hardworking, generous, and selfless people I know. He’s always been there for others — whether it was helping out a friend, showing up for family, or coaching baseball, which is one of his greatest passions. He loved being on the field, not just for the game, but for the chance to mentor and make a difference in kids’ lives. That’s just who he is — someone who gives his all.

Now he’s the one who needs help, and it’s not easy for us to ask.

Even with insurance, the medical bills are overwhelming. Surgery, follow-ups, treatment, and medications all add up quickly. On top of that, he’ll need to take time off work to recover, which means lost income at a time when every bit matters.
