Matt McGuire is a friend and coworker in the Emergency Department at Bryan West Hospital. He is a fantastic person, a friend to everyone he meets, and a dedicated husband and father. We have worked together before, during, and after COVID, and I have seen firsthand how much Matt cares for his patients and colleagues. Matt currently works as a paramedic and is attending nursing school, balancing his studies with weekend shifts to support his family.

Recently, Matt was diagnosed with cancer. This news has been a tremendous challenge for him and his family. They were already on a tight budget, managing the costs of nursing school, and now face mounting medical expenses for cancer treatment. With Matt needing to focus on his health, there will be times when he cannot work, making it even harder for his family to cover everyday living expenses.

The money raised through this fundraiser will help Matt and his family considerably. It will go toward medical bills, treatment costs, and living expenses while Matt is unable to work.
