Help Support Matt, Mandy, and Their Family After a Devastating Accident

On Friday, August 7, our dear friend Matt was involved in a devastating accident.

Matt was at the dump unloading parts from the back of his truck when a piece broke loose, throwing him approximately 10–12 feet into a concrete pit. He landed flat on his back and was rushed to the hospital in Franklin before being transferred to a trauma center in Nashville.

After further evaluation, doctors discovered that Matt had suffered a severe L2 burst fracture. He’s lucky to still have full function of his limbs and even luckier to still be alive, but due to the extent of his injuries, surgery was imperative. On Sunday morning, Matt underwent an L1–L3 spinal fusion. Thankfully, the surgery was successful, but Matt now faces a long and difficult road of recovery, rehabilitation, and healing.

For those who know Matt, you know how hard he works. Matt is the owner of Pure Water Pools and has built his business with his own two hands and through years of hard work and dedication. He is also the sole income provider for his family—his wife, Mandy, and their two children, Kona and Kaileia.

Right now, their entire world has been turned upside down.

Matt will be unable to work for a minimum of six months, leaving the family facing an extended period with little to no income while also dealing with substantial medical expenses, rehabilitation, household bills, and the everyday costs of taking care of their family.

We are hoping to raise $25,000 to help give Matt, Mandy, Kona, and Kaileia some financial breathing room during this incredibly difficult season.

Every dollar raised will go directly toward helping their family cover:

• Medical bills and ongoing treatment

• Rehabilitation and recovery expenses

• Mortgage, utilities, and household bills

• Groceries and everyday living expenses

• Transportation and other unexpected costs that come with Matt’s recovery
