On May 10th, my brother Matt Hockenbruckner and his best friend Branden were riding their motorcycles side by side when tragedy struck. A car that didn’t yield hit them, throwing both from their bikes at high speed. Branden sadly passed away during surgery, and Matt is now fighting for his life in critical condition. He has a brain bleed, lung injury, broken ribs, hip out of socket, and his leg from the knee down is crushed. Matt is on a ventilator and has already undergone a procedure to relieve pressure in his head. The road ahead is uncertain, and he will need multiple surgeries, rehab, and extended care to even begin his recovery.

Matt has insurance to help with medical bills, but he will need support for personal bills, rent, and living expenses while he is unable to work. Our family is doing everything we can, but the costs are overwhelming. Any support you can offer will make a real difference in Matt’s life as he faces a very long and difficult recovery.
