Support Matt Flint's Family in Their Recovery

Hello everyone, I am starting this GoFundMe for a fellow brother in the IBEW local 71 that has fallen on hard times and needs some help until he and his wife are back to work. On 06/30/2024, Matt Flint and his daughter Madi were riding their 4-wheeler in the backyard when they were thrown from it. Unfortunately, Matt and Madi were both injured and rushed to the hospital with multiple injuries.

Matt ended up with 9 broken ribs, a broken scapula, and a bruised lung. Madi had a broken rib as well. Matt was sedated for a few days to keep an eye on his low blood pressure to figure out if it was from the medication or the pain. By the end of that week, they both were released home as there is no surgery for broken ribs or a broken scapula. They are both at home, slowly recovering, and Matt is unable to return to work until he is released for full duty. Unfortunately, the doctor is placing a 3+ month time frame on this if everything goes well.

As if it was not bad enough, Matt's wife Penny lost her job as she has had to tend to Matt and Madi over the last few weeks and they do not have any income coming in to help with bills and food. Matt and his family live in the town of Wilmington, Ohio and is an operator and the Material Manager for Intren Energy, a utility company based in Cincinnati, Ohio. We have passed the hat around a few times to help out our brother and his family and have been able to give them a little relief, but with both of them out of work, we are asking for some outside resources to help them out until they are back on their feet!
