Support Matt Dawson's Final Journey

Story

Just before midnight on Friday, June 27, my wife (Michelle) and her family received the horrible news of the passing of Matt Dawson, her oldest brother. Matt was a fantastic family member and friend. He never hesitated at any family member's need and NEVER asked for anything in return. He never offered financial help that included strings or guilt to anyone and always put everyone's needs above his own. He was in the Army before going contractor and working overseas, giving to his country throughout his entire adult life. His current job location was Alaska, which is where he resided when he passed. We are working on the logistics of getting him home, and we know all of this is going to be expensive. Several family members will have to fly up there and back, and the cost of transporting him home will also be very expensive. This was all a horrific surprise that the family was not ready for. We will find a way to make this happen, but I wanted to start this as a means to possibly help with the expenses even a little bit. We do not know when family will have to travel up there just yet, so I'll keep this going through July. We, in no way, expect ANYONE to donate here, and we will be okay if no one does... but it would help, nonetheless. We know anyone who is reading this cares for the family, or at least cared for Matt.
