Matt Corvo, my friend was involved in a serious motorcycle accident while leaving work on Monday December 8th in front of the Largo Post Office. Subsequently, Matt was air-lifted from Largo Highschool to Tampa General Hospital. At the intersection of the crash was a retired EMT and nurse stopped at the traffic light (in different vehicles) who administered a life saving tourniquet to my friend. Matt’s injuries include left leg amputation (below the knee) knee reconstruction, fractured femur, and multiple spine fractures. Matt is a valued employee as a clerk at the post office.
