Support Matlacha Residents - Angles Hair Design

My parents, Keith and Heidi Talbott, sister Halie Talbott and her boyfriend Max Fisher are all displaced from Hurricane Ian. They did not evacuate Matlacha Florida and unfortunately saw first hand the destruction that Hurricane Ian caused in our home town. They have their safety which is the most important thing, and a few belongings they were able to save. The house I grew up in, my parents business, all of their vehicles, the RV my grandparents would stay in when they came to visit- all destroyed. With no access to basic infrastructure, roads, water, sewer, power, fire/police or medical resources the island is uninhabitable. After 3 days, they were evacuated from the island with no idea when they can safely return, it’s a long road ahead and a difficult one. In addition to having to say goodbye to their home and most belongings, they have also lost their jobs. My parents shop, Angles Hair Design which has been a long standing staple of the island for over 27 years, has suffered major flooding and likely structural damage. Halie and Max both had jobs on the island that they cannot return to. Any contribution will help support them while they figure out what their next step is.
