There, I met Matimba Khoza, a passionate and dedicated leader working tirelessly to preserve and celebrate his community’s culture. His energy and commitment to his people’s heritage moved me in ways I can’t quite put into words.

Matimba isn’t just running a project; he’s carrying the hopes and dreams of an entire community on his shoulders. His vision is powerful, but he’s fighting an uphill battle with limited resources. I wanted to help in any way I could, so I built him a website to share his story and expand his reach. But as much as we’ve tried, love and determination can only go so far.

My name is Matimba Khoza from South Africa, in a small village of Timbavati in Bushbuckridge near the Kruger National Park. I'm a Shangaan/Tsonga speaker from the eleven (11) official languages we have in South Africa.

I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out to share an exciting opportunity to support Mafunyani Cultural Village, a unique and vibrant community dedicated to preserving the Tsonga heritage.

At Mafunyani, we share and teach about our heritage through mesmerizing dance, history, and art. Our "Roots of Rhythm" offers young children an immersive experience into the tradition and artistry of our diverse tribe.
