My name is Masrur Maahi, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to seek your support in saving my father, Masud Hasan. He has recently been diagnosed with Stage 3 Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC) accompanied by Portal Vein Tumor Thrombosis (PVTT) – a serious and life-threatening complication.

HCC is the most common type of primary liver cancer, but in my father’s case, the condition is more severe due to PVTT. This means the cancer has spread into the portal vein, which carries blood from the digestive organs to the liver. The tumor has created a thrombus (blood clot), restricting blood flow and making treatment far more difficult and urgent. This form of liver cancer is known to progress quickly and limits the options for surgery and traditional therapies.

About My Father – Masud Hasan

My father is more than just a patient—he is the pillar of our family. A kind, honest, and hard-working man, he has spent his life providing for us selflessly. He never complained, even when times were tough. He has always put others before himself, ensuring we were safe, fed, and educated.

He has been the sole earner in our household, working long hours to support us. Watching him now in such a vulnerable state is heart-wrenching. It’s incredibly painful to see someone who has always been our strength now struggling just to get through the day.

The Financial Challenge

My father’s condition requires urgent medical attention—including hospitalization, targeted therapies, imaging, lab tests, and potentially specialized treatments like TARE (Transarterial Radioembolization), immunotherapy, or radiation. These treatments come with a heavy financial burden that my family is simply unable to bear alone.

Despite our best efforts, we are falling short. We are trying everything we can—borrowing from friends, selling possessions—but it’s not enough. That’s why I am humbly reaching out to you.
