Hi everyone,
This summer, I am excited to share that I have the chance to go on a mission's trip to Nicaragua with Hope Project International as part of The King’s Academy Alumni Trip from June 28th to July 3rd.
During this trip, we will be serving local communities by helping build homes and supporting families in need. I’m especially excited to use my skills in photography to document the experience for my portfolio and create meaningful content that tells the stories of the people we serve.
I’m currently a senior at Liberty University majoring in Digital Media & Design. After changing my major last year, I’ll be finishing my remaining credits online this May and plan to graduate in December 2026. This summer, I’ll be moving home, working full-time, and continuing to pursue opportunities in video and photography while also exploring a future in EMT/Firefighter training.
I did not have the opportunity to go on a mission's trip in high school, so this experience would be incredibly meaningful to me, not only to serve others, but also to grow personally and spiritually, and to experience the Nicaraguan culture.
The total cost of the trip is $1,600, which includes:
• $1,000 for the mission trip
• Approximately $600 for airfare
I’m hoping to raise these funds by April 24th.
If you feel led to support me, I would be incredibly grateful for any contribution, no matter the amount. If you are unable to give, I would truly appreciate your prayers for safety, growth, and that I can make a positive impact during this trip.
I am thankful to share that the fundraiser has already begun with a $100 donation from my mom, which has already been given to help reserve my spot.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and for being part of my journey.
Sincerely, Mason Shipman
