Support Mason's Medical Mission in Belize
Donation protected
Hi there! My name is Mason Thornton and I am a pre-med student at Oklahoma State University. This Summer, I have the opportunity to go on a Medical Brigade in Belize, where I will serve the local community there, helping to run a medical clinic.
Medical Brigades provide pre-med students with the opportunity to gain experience in a medical clinic setting, while making a tangible impact in global health.
During the week I spend there, I will shadow local physicians during patient consultations, support medicine distribution within the pharmacy, and lead health education workshops.
This experience will enable me to gain valuable insight into the medical field, while adopting a global perspective on healthcare and understanding the need for adequate healthcare outside of my home country.
In order to participate in this Medical Brigade, I must meet a donation goal of $1,850 by fundraising as a part of my commitment to the Brigades Chapter. Please consider supporting me in this cause. I am excited to make a difference in the local healthcare accessibility in Belize, and the hands on learning that I will gain.
