Support Mason's Journey to Recovery

Hello, this is Mason Ashby’s story, and I truly appreciate you taking a moment to read his story. On April 13, 2024, Mason and Callie went on a riding trip with family as they have on numerous occasions. However, this time he was involved in a life-changing SXS accident leaving him with drastic changes to the rest of his life. He was airlifted to OSF in Peoria, IL where they completed emergency surgery to help repair the fracture to his neck and back.

Mason, 20, is a graduate of Abingdon-Avon High School. He recently married Callie Schisler on March 23, 2024. He enjoyed many aspects of life and had an extremely active and independent lifestyle. He enjoyed riding SXS and spending time outdoors.

There is financial burden of coping with a spinal cord injury is immense. The purpose of this fundraiser will be to support Mason, Callie, and Liam in the challenging weeks and months ahead. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a meaningful impact on Mason’s journey toward recovery. All funds raised will go directly to Mason’s medical costs and related travel expenses for Callie and his son Liam.
