My name is Chelsey, and this is about my son, Mason.

Since 2023, I’ve been in a difficult and ongoing custody battle that has taken a heavy emotional and financial toll. I’ve sold nearly everything we own — everything except the vehicles we rely on — to keep fighting for my son.

Right now, I need to retain a family law attorney in Washington State to protect Mason from being taken away from the only home and family he truly knows. Texas made a custody decision without allowing key documents and information from Washington to be reviewed. If those documents had been considered, the outcome would have been very different.

The reasoning behind removing Mason from our home is over late airfare reimbursement payments — not neglect, abuse, or anything that would ever justify separating him from his family. Mason’s entire world — his siblings, his school, his medical providers, and his emotional support system — is here in Washington.

I can’t speak in detail about the other party’s behavior, but I can say this: sending Mason away would not be in his best interest.

I already have a few attorneys ready to take the case — I just need the funds to move forward and ensure Mason’s voice and best interests are protected.
