Help Mason Get His Dream Puppy During His Fight Against Cancer
This September, in honor of National Lymphoma Cancer Awareness month, we’re sharing Mason's story in the hopes of bringing him a little joy during one of the hardest times of his life.
On June 20, 2024, Masons’s world turned upside down when he was diagnosed with Lymphoblastic Lymphoma 2A cancer. What started as a small lump near his collarbone led to the devastating discovery of a large mass in his chest, pressing against his airway, and cancerous growths in his lymph nodes and spine.
After 3 months of treatment at Phoenix Children’s Hospital, Mason is thankfully in remission, but his fight is far from over. His journey involves weekly chemotherapy, lumbar punctures (spinal treatments under anesthesia), and daily medications. His intensive treatment will continue for the next 3-5 months, followed by monthly chemo and lumbar punctures for the next 2.5 years. It won’t be until 2027 that can finally be declared cancer-free.
The road has been tough on all of the family, but especially on Mason. He’s not the playful, happy kid he is known to be. His family shared that it is difficult to find ways to cheer him up as he’s too weak to be out and about, and his compromised immune system keeps him away from public spaces.
One thing that consistently brightened Mason's spirit is his dream of getting a French Bulldog! He lights up when talking of having his own puppy and has selected the name Stitch should his dream come true.
Mason passes time researching proper leashes, collars and Halloween costumes for a furry friend.
Sue to overwhelming medical bills, Masons family is unable to afford the dog he desperately wants.
We are fortunate to have teamed up with Lethal Frenchie to make Mason’s dream a reality. With your generous donation we will be able to purchase the pup and have him delivered just after Mason’s 9th birthday on October 9th.
The unconditional love of a dog could bring back the joy and companionship he so desperately needs. We envision Mason and his new puppy growing together as he embarks on this long road to recovery.
Please help us give Mason his doggie wish and a reason to smile again. Your support would mean the world to the family as they navigate this painful journey and give Mason something to look forward to in the midst of his battle with cancer.
Thank you for your love, support, and generosity!
