Support Mason Strom's Recovery Journey

Donation protected
❤️❤️❤️A HUGE thank you to everyone who has donated and shown support!! Words cannot express how grateful we are for receiving help during this difficult time.
Funds are helping us pay for Mason's house and truck payments. Also a huge help with providing food, prescriptions and medical dressing supplies.
Mason is getting better at using his left hand for day to day things. He was able to shave his own face the other day and didn't even knick himself!!
He starts Physical Therapy tomorrow. We have high hopes he will regain mobility and strength in his hand and fingers. He still doesn't have much feeling in a good part of his fingers, especially his pointer finger. Hopefully in time and healing that will come back. His dressings on his hand get changed every other day. It takes about an hour as there is a lot of area to uncover, clean and redress.
We are in the process of getting a benefit/silent auction in place to further help Mason. All the donations help tremendously relieve the financial burden while he recovers and heals. Thank you all again so very much ❤️❤️❤️

On July 7th 2024, 20 year old Mason Strom was airlifted to Sioux Falls hospital after he suffered a catastrophic injury as a result of an accident involving a large firework that prematurely exploded. Mason's right hand received most of the damage, resulting in extensive nerve, tissue, and bone damage. During his 5 days in the hospital, Mason underwent 2 surgeries to reconstruct his fingers, hand and partial amputation of his thumb. He will still need more surgeries on his hand in the future. He is currently recovering at his mother's house in Mankato so he can get all the help he needs during his recovery. He's looking at about year of recovery time. Mason has been employed as a Carpenter Butcher and Fireman, and just recently enrolled in the Lineman program @ MN West College. Due to his injuries, he is obviously unable to work or begin his program at this time. It is unknown at this time how much of that he will be able to continue, or when :( While in recovery, Mason still has his house and truck payments that he is responsible for, as well as day to day living expenses and the quickly rising medical bills (he does not have health insurance).
Mason has always been a goal oriented, hardworking young man with unlimited potential and our hope is to see him through this time while keeping his goals on track as much as possible. For that reason, our current goal is set at $16,000, as that would at least cover his house and truck payments over the next year.
We want to express our unending gratitude to everyone who has reached out, donated, and kept Mason in their prayers!❤️❤️
