On Friday, November 14, 2025, Maryville Police Department Motor Officer FTO Justin Brown was critically injured while escorting Vice President JD Vance during a dignitary protection detail. His police motorcycle was struck in a collision with a Tennessee Highway Patrol unit, leaving him with significant, life-threatening injuries. Thanks to the heroic actions of citizens who immediately rendered aid, as well as the exceptional care provided by AMR and the University of Tennessee Medical Center, FTO Brown is fighting hard and remains in critical condition.
As with all in-the-line-of-duty injuries, FTO Brown’s medical expenses will be covered. However, Justin—like many officers—regularly works extra jobs to support his family. With a long and difficult recovery ahead, he will be unable to work those additional jobs that help provide for his household.
Blue Line Tennessee, Inc. is raising funds to support FTO Officer Brown’s family during this challenging time. Your generosity will help ease the financial strain caused by the loss of supplemental income and will undoubtedly be a blessing to his family as they navigate the weeks and months ahead—especially as the holiday season approaches.
If you are able, please consider donating and sharing this campaign. Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a meaningful difference.
This was set up with permission from the family and the Maryville Police Department.
