Support Marysol during her NICU stay

On the morning of January 25th, 2022, my firstborn daughter, Marysol Rosario was born at the young age of 22 weeks & 3 days. The doctors informed me she had a 10% chance of survival before she was delivered, then a 20% chance after her first cries. The smallest intubation tubes at her hospital were 2.0 and 2.5, in which the doctors were miraculously able to intubate her 5 minutes after her delivery.

So far, our little fighter has completed 50 days at the NICU! The hospice team has visited us over four times during her stay, giving us options on how we would like her to go. Except we haven't lost hope.

Given that kangaroo care is the BEST way I can help her at the moment, I have not been able to find a job that offers the flexibility that we need to put her first in our lives. The doctors are starting breast milk feeds (yes, I have been pumping this entire time without my precious baby) on 3/18, which will require even more time and energy from me.

With so much uncertainty of our futures, the most essential thing in our lives is supporting & being present with our daughter during her NICU stay (averaging around 5-8 months).

My husband's family is near the area, while mine is 5 hours away. I would appreciate all of the support I could receive for our new family and get out of the NICU without health complications with the Glory of God.

Thank you so much for your love & support; we hope to have more time & energy to keep our friends and families updated!

There's nothing greater than a mother's love :')

COVID visitation restrictions were lifted when Marysol's health declined all of the sudden on 2/1. She was able to meet her grandparents & her aunts/uncles! She got better and the visitation restriction is still in place for the entire hospital.

X-ray comparisons. Right image is before her surgery and the Left image is after her surgery. Her perforation caused her abdomen to fill up with intestinal contents and blood, causing near kidney failure & her lung to partially collapse. Her lungs look so much better after the surgery. The surgeons refused to operate her until they detected free air in her daily x-ray.
