I’ve been in the hospital at Scripps Encinitas since January 1, 2026, and I’m not allowed to leave until I respond to the treatment plans and complete more imaging. The uncertainty of how long I’ll be here is difficult, especially since my last stay lasted two weeks. On top of that, I’ve had to ask for help to care for my cat, Ms Pepper, who I miss dearly every day.
Being self-employed, the stress of not being able to work is weighing on me financially. I’m facing mounting medical bills and also need to cover the costs of Ms Pepper’s care while I’m away. It’s a lot to manage, and I’m doing my best to focus on getting better, but the financial worries are always in the back of my mind.
I have several rare chronic and complex disorders, which makes my care more complicated and my recovery more uncertain. The hospital team at Scripps Encinitas is doing everything they can to help me feel better, and I’m grateful for their support. I truly appreciate any form of help during this time of need—whether it’s a donation or simply sharing my story. Thank you for being here and for considering supporting me and Ms Pepper.
