My name is Mary Wilkins, and I’m reaching out for support as I face a challenging chapter in my life. Two years ago, a serious car accident changed everything, and since then, my health has declined due to a rare genetic disorder called Fabry disease, liposarcoma, and several other conditions including heart disease, chronic kidney disease stage 4, and severe arthritis. I am also facing lung cancer, currently staged at 2 or 3 as I await final test results. I’m preparing for multiple surgeries, followed by chemo and radiation, and I’m determined to regain my strength and return to work as a regional general manager once my treatments are complete.
During this time, I’m struggling to cover my monthly expenses on disability payments alone. I need help with groceries, medicine, personal care items, rent, cleaning supplies, and transportation. My service dog Molly and my cat Missy Sue are my lifelines—Molly helps me manage seizures, mini-strokes, and weakness, while Missy Sue brings comfort and eases my anxiety. Caring for them is just as important as caring for myself, and I need support for their food and supplies as well.
Your generosity will help me stay stable and safe while I focus on healing. Every donation brings me closer to regaining my independence and returning to the life I love. Thank you for reading my story and considering a gift that will make a real difference for me, Molly, and Missy Sue.
