My name is Mary Economos. I am having a total knee replacement surgery on June 23, 2025. My surgery was delayed as my kidney functions had decreased. I am currently unemployed due to mobility issues after being laid off as my department was outsourced overseas. I am unable to collect unemployment benefits while I am recovering from surgery. Once I am cleared by my surgeon post-surgery I can continue to file for unemployment benefits and continue my job search. I just need to raise funds to live on during my initial post-surgery phase.
