But when Hurricane Helene unleashed its fury in Hendersonville North Carolina, Mary's world was turned upside down. Her home, once a place of refuge, became a vessel of turmoil, flooded and damaged beyond recognition.

Despite this catastrophic setback, Mary refuses to let despair define her journey. She’s in school, pursuing her degree in Human Services/Social Work, fueled by a desire to uplift others, and her experiences in early motherhood desiring to create a better life for her and her children.
