We are reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for help for our mother, Mary, who is facing unexpected and life-changing medical challenges.
Over the past several months, Mary has endured multiple hospital visits due to a severe and ongoing infection that began in her feet and progressed into her legs. Despite repeated treatments, her condition worsened, and she is currently hospitalized with sepsis. Tragically, doctors have determined that she will need to undergo bilateral leg amputations in order to save her life.
This has been an overwhelming and sudden reality for our family. On top of the emotional toll, we are facing mounting medical expenses. We have been in a constant battle with insurance to cover these unexpected costs, and disability assistance has unfortunately been denied. The financial strain continues to grow with every hospital stay, procedure, and necessary treatment.
In addition to medical bills, significant modifications will be required to make Mary’s home safe and accessible once she is able to return home in a wheelchair. These changes include remodeling the bathroom for accessibility and installing a ramp so she can safely enter and leave her home. These are essential needs, not optional ones, and they come with substantial costs.
Anyone who knows Mary knows that she is the kind of person who would go out of her way to help others at any time. She has always been generous, kind, and selfless, putting the needs of others before her own. Now, she is the one in need of support.
Any donation, no matter the amount, will help ease the financial burden and allow us to focus on what matters most—Mary’s recovery, healing, and quality of life. If you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser and keeping Mary in your thoughts and prayers means more than we can express.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, support, and compassion during this incredibly difficult time.
