Hi, my name is Mary, and for the past several years, I’ve been quietly navigating a long and difficult journey with my health. I am now preparing for a surgery on my hip called femoral impingement surgery and will need some help to get through my next step in my healing journey.
Since a car accident in 2020, I’ve been living with constant hip pain that has made everyday things like walking, standing, and even sitting impossible to do for long periods. Over time, it took away my ability to work consistently and fully show up for my life and my daughter.
For years, I searched for answers and pushed through the pain, only to be told there was nothing wrong until I reinjured my hip falling down the stairs and finally received an MRI. That’s when I learned I have a bone spur and need surgery to repair the damage.
But there was one more hurdle.
In order for insurance to approve the surgery, I was told I had to lose 120 pounds.
I didn’t give up. And now, I’m just 5 pounds away from that goal.
In the coming months, I will be undergoing Femoroacetabular Impingement (FAI) surgery. This is my chance to finally live without constant pain, to move freely again, and be the mom I want to be.
Because I haven’t been able to work consistently, I don’t have the financial stability to cover basic living expenses during the 6 weeks I’ll need to heal.
I’m asking for help so I can focus on recovery, stay stable, and come out of this stronger for myself and for my daughter.
If you’re able to donate, share, or even just send encouragement, it truly means everything to me.
I’m so close to getting my life back.
Thank you for seeing me, supporting me, and being a part of this next chapter.
