My name is Mary, and I’m reaching out during a very challenging time for myself and my family. I am preparing to undergo heart surgery to remove a tumor—a procedure that has brought a lot of fear and uncertainty, as it’s my first surgery and a major one. My husband, a retired Army veteran, has been my rock, but the road ahead will be tough for both of us. While I focus on healing, he’ll be taking care of me and managing our household, which is no small task.

The financial strain of this surgery is significant. We are facing out-of-pocket medical costs, transportation expenses for hospital visits, and the added challenge of meal prep and groceries while I’m unable to work. My husband does all the cooking for us, and having support with meals will be a huge relief for him as he juggles caring for me and keeping our home running smoothly. Every bit of help will go directly toward easing these burdens and allowing us to focus on my recovery.
