Support Mary's Fight Against Glioblastoma
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Kari, and I am raising money to help my good friend, Mary Rogers, who has been diagnosed with Grade 4 Glioblastoma Multiforme, an aggressive brain cancer that is considered incurable. Mainstream medicine has saved Mary's life thus far through surgery and various therapies, however her particular diagnosis offers little hope and is without a cure.
(Treatment facility has changed. Please see update!)
Through much prayer, Mary has been led and accepted into Hope4Cancer in Tijuana, Mexico under the care of Dr. Tony Jimenez, M.D., N.D., and his extremely qualified physicians, where she will begin receiving integrative cancer therapies that target her particular cancer cells, get to the core of the origin of her cancer, and aid in boosting and healing her immune system in various ways to fight the cancer more effectively - all with the goal of Mary being cancer-free, healthy, and fully healed! The Hope4Cancer clinical team is the first medical team that has given Mary HOPE and has even uttered the words CURE!
Hope4Cancer is an integrative medical facility where Mary will spend her days being cared for holistically. During Mary's three week inpatient stay, she will start each day with corporate worship with the medical staff and other patients, and all the things that will feed Mary's mind, body, and soul. You can read more about the various therapies offered, their treatment philosophy, and testimonies of healing at Hope4Cancer .
Will you partner with us to send Mary to this state of the art facility, full of light, healing, and life?!
All donations will go directly towards covering Mary's three week inpatient stay, all of her nutrition, treatments and therapies, and travel costs.
You can read Mary's story in her own words below, and please consider giving towards our goal for the potentially life-saving treatment that she will receive as we join together to bring her HOPE!
"On March 31st my family and I went to Easter service like we do every year. After coming home, I started making dinner and suddenly my mouth started involuntarily moving, causing my tongue to get chewed up. I went and got my husband in the front yard to call 911 because I couldn’t speak. When the ambulance arrived, they determined I wasn’t a stroke patient but took me to the emergency room and immediately did an MRI. They determined it was a tumor by the next morning and surgery was scheduled for the following day. The neurosurgeon did a great job and the surgery was successful, removing over 90% of the tumor. I spent the next five days in the hospital, recovering. The biggest struggle after surgery was speech expression. Mobility gradually improved and we decided it would be best for me to go to rehab before going back home. I spent 8 days at Tampa General Rehabilitation Hospital and they were absolutely amazing. My speech improved every day I was there. Physical and Occupational Therapists helped me transition back home so much. Once I was back at home, what was next was still unclear for two more weeks. Finally, pathology came back and I was diagnosed with a Grade 4 Glioblastoma Multiforme, an aggressive, cancerous brain tumor. Thankfully we were already set up with a radiologist and oncologist to begin 6.5 weeks of oral chemo and radiation immediately. I have worked hard to stay strong throughout treatment but some fatigue has started to catch up to me as I finish up treatment this week. Throughout the past two months, we’ve learned that this is the standard treatment, but after this, there is not a clear roadmap to healing, just waiting for the next scan. Two trusted, close friends with medical experience came to me and pointed me to Hope4Cancer without any pressure. I looked into it and prayed about it and God has opened every door. I love their approach to cancer and just reading about it has given me hope. I have been accepted as a patient and am excited to start my healing journey there on July 15th. Thank you for loving me and my family and considering helping us take this next step of faith, believing that He led us this far and won't stop showing his goodness and grace as He cares for our every need!"
