Support Mary's Family After Devastating Fire Loss
Donation protected
Dear Friends and Family,
On behalf of our beloved friend and midwife, Mary Jackson, we are raising financial support for Mary's sister, Kate Jackson, and her niece, Shelley, and nephew, Todd, who lost everything in the LA Altadena fire 2 days ago. Kate, age 80, and still working full-time in a nursing home, was struggling to evacuate all 250 residents when the police came to her home at 4 am with immediate evacuation orders, giving just minutes for Shelley and Todd to get out and grab only their toothbrushes and one extra set of clothes. Their home was burned to the ground, the refrigerator and appliances melted, and Todd's truck with all his woodworking tools for his livelihood destroyed.
They are currently staying with Mary and Alex in Ojai with plans to begin looking for their own housing again as things settle down. This sudden and horrific tragedy has been overwhelming, especially for Mary's older sister Kate, living on what she earns, is at a loss of how to move on at this point in her life. Our goal is to help them purchase essential personal items and show them support as they rebuild their lives and livelihoods. Any small or large amount will have a profound impact both financially and emotionally for their family and will be deeply appreciated.
