If you know Maryalice, you know that family over everything has always been her motto, and the many friends she's made over the years have turned into extended family.

Mare has been a mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, godmother, confidante, and surrogate caregiver to the many kids, family and friends whose lives she's been apart of.

At just 63 years old, Maryalice is living with advanced early-onset dementia. Watching this disease slowly take pieces of the woman we love has been devastating. The person who spent her life caring for others now requires increasing care herself.

One of the greatest challenges our family faces is that Maryalice has fallen into a heartbreaking gap in the system. Because of her age, she does not qualify for many of the government programs and services that older seniors can access, despite having a formal dementia diagnosis and needing significant support. As her condition progresses, the costs associated with her care continue to grow, creating a financial burden for our family.

Our goal is simple: to provide Maryalice with the dignity, comfort, safety, and compassionate care she deserves. We are seeking other avenues to get Mare the help she needs but forms and applications and approvals are taking a lot longer than we imagined.

Funds raised will help cover home health assistance, medical and caregiving expenses, safety modifications, and other essential support that will improve her quality of life.

Anyone whose life has been touched by Maryalice knows the kind of person she is. She has spent a lifetime showing up for others without hesitation. She has celebrated our milestones, comforted us through our losses, and loved so many people as if they were her own. Now, we are asking our community to show up for her.
