Support Mary Wiber's Road to Recovery

On October 9th, 2025, Mary Wiber and her boyfriend, Charles Weckwerth, were driving down Ward Parkway on what seemed to be an ordinary Thursday night. Without warning, a car that was driving the wrong direction — north in the southbound lanes of Ward Parkway — slammed head-on into Mary and Charles.

Both Mary and Charles were rushed to different hospitals with life-threatening injuries.

Mary suffered a broken pelvis, jaw, femur and minor brain bleed. In the crash, she also fractured three vertebrae, broke three fingers, and received more than 60 stitches for the countless lacerations on her face, arms, and legs. In spite of all the physical turmoil that she has suffered, Mary has successfully undergone surgery to repair her shattered pelvis and broken jaw and nose.

She is bedridden and physically unable to visit her beloved Charles, who is fighting for his life in a medically induced coma at a hospital separate from hers. Her sole focus now is recovery. She is determined to be by his side as soon as she can.

Ahead of Mary is a very long journey of physical, occupational, and mental health therapies. If you would like to help Mary on her road to recovery, please donate to her GoFundMe.
