Help Support Mary Thomas in Her Final Journey

Our family is heartbroken as we share that my sister, Mary Thomas, is currently at home under hospice care. Mary has been courageously fighting lung cancer and leptomeningeal cancer, and although she has battled with incredible strength, her doctors have told us she is nearing the end of her journey.

As we focus on keeping Mary comfortable, surrounded by love, and free from worry, we are asking for help from our community, friends, and anyone who feels moved to support her.

Why We’re Asking for Help

Mary’s medical needs have grown significantly, and hospice care—while a blessing—comes with costs that go beyond what our family can manage alone. We are raising funds to help with:

Comfort and care expenses during her remaining time at home

Medical supplies and support services not fully covered

Final arrangements and funeral expenses

Transportation, meals, and support for close family members staying by her side

Every donation, no matter the size, makes a real difference. It gives Mary dignity, comfort, and peace in her final days—and lifts an enormous burden from our family during a time of deep emotional pain.

About Mary

Mary is a beloved daughter to John and Lana Thomas, and sister to Ginger Thomas Taylor and Pepper Thomas Chapman. She is also the loving mother of her children: Jesse Scholl, Harley Rodgers, Brianna Rogers Hogue, Brook Rogers, Onna Rogers, and Cory Rogers.

She is deeply loved and supported by her longtime partner, Brian Rodgers.

Her constant companion and best friend, her dog PJ, remains by her side and brings her comfort during this time.
