Help Mary Kick Cancer!

Who would have thought turning the dreaded 50 would be the highlight of my year? My name is Mary Racila and in under a year, I've lost my dog, my dad and one of our dearest friends. As if that weren’t enough, my mom is in the final stages of dementia and I was just diagnosed with cancer.

From a routine tooth extraction to an oral cancer diagnosis in under two weeks, it's a lot to wrap my head around. Everything is moving very quickly — CT scans, PET scans, blood tests, EKGs all leading up to surgery on July 1 when a portion of my lower jaw will need to be removed. The goal is to get all the cancer in one shot, but realistically I face an uphill battle of additional surgeries, therapy, radiation and possible chemotherapy.

I'm completely terrified and we cannot do this without your support. While keeping our household afloat, we also need help covering mounting medical expenses. The surgery alone is estimated at $277,000. Unfortunately insurance only covers a portion. Any amount you can contribute will be greatly appreciated and immediately put toward medical bills.
