Gunny dedicated 23 years of his life to serving this country in the United States Marine Corps, with honorable service from November 3, 1969 to August 1, 1992. During his time in uniform, he deployed to Vietnam, where he was exposed to Agent Orange, and also served at Camp Lejeune, where toxic water exposure has impacted so many Marines and their families. He was a man who lived a life of service, strength, and quiet sacrifice.
On March 26th, after a short and unexpected hospitalization, Gunny passed away — leaving Mary not only heartbroken, but now facing an uncertain and overwhelming path forward alone.
