Support Mary Kay Miller with Wombs of the World

Yay, Womb of the world!! I have been accepted to join an immersive educational program in Ecuador this year with an organization called Wombs of the World. We will shadow indigenous midwives and learn about their ancestral birth knowledge. The program is centered around birth support, plant medicine, and postpartum healing. This is an amazing opportunity to learn straight from the source and gain new skills to share with my clients at home. Other people and doulas from around the world will be joining as well. I cannot wait to soak it all up. Their mission aligns so well with my work and passion. Their evidence-based and cultural respect is important to me.

I am humbly asking for support. As you may know, I have been a nurse for 36+ years and a Nurse-Midwife for over 23 years now and my love and passion for this work continues to grow.

It is an 11-day trip, and the total tuition is $3250, plus airfare. This is not fully financially feasible for me at this time, yet I am being called to go and make it happen! Therefore I am reaching out to my favorite people for some help.

I intend to share my experience in the community through my work with clients, students, licensed midwives, certified nurse-midwives, and birth workers. I may offer a workshop or a Zoom meeting when I return to share the things I have learned in Northern Ecuador.

It is not easy making a “go fund me” page for something I want to do. I appreciate anything you can contribute. I am happy to hop on the phone and tell you about the trip!
