Support Mary Kate's Fight Against Cancer
Donation protected
On August 12, the Kroesch family received the shocking, scary news that Mary Kate was diagnosed with CIC-rearranged sarcoma in her left breast (a very rare and aggressive form of cancer). Allison and James immediately sent a referral to MD Anderson in Houston which was thankfully accepted right away.
They received a phone call from MD Anderson on August 14, packed in 5 minutes, and jumped in the car. Mary Kate had blood work, a PET scan, and a doctor's visit on August 15. The PET scan showed this is an isolated incident and a treatment plan was started right away.
The plan is to stay in Houston for 6-8 weeks to start treatment immediately. Mary Kate will have chemotherapy every other week (in-patient for 5 days), then stay by the hospital for weeks between to monitor blood counts and make sure she doesn’t develop any infections. After an undetermined amount of chemo rounds (4-6 maybe), she’ll have surgery.
The Kroesch family has a long road ahead. To alleviate some of the financial burden, we are asking for support from Mary Kate's incredible family, friends, and community. These donations will be used to assist in funding Mary Kate's medical bills, travel, housing, and any other financial concerns that may come up along the way.
Mary Kate's family - Allison (mom), James (dad), and Allie (sister) are appreciative of all the help provided. If you are unable to donate at this time, please share this GoFundMe page.
Thank you so much to those who have already donated and reached out to the family. Please continue to pray for this wonderful family to get through this difficult time. ❤️
