This is Amanda Case. Our mom, Mary Hodge, has been feeling unwell for some time and was recently admitted to the hospital with low sodium, shortness of breath, weakness, lung pain, and severe fatigue that made it difficult for her to stay awake. While there, doctors discovered a large mass in her chest in a location that cannot be surgically removed. 

She is scheduled for a biopsy this week to determine the type of lung cancer. Depending on the results, we may only have a limited amount of time left with her.

Our dad continues to work in his garage doing body work, but once he finishes his current jobs, he would like to step back so he can be by her side and spend as much time with her as possible. During this time, finances will become very tight. Because our parents would never ask for help themselves, we are reaching out on their behalf.

Any support—whether through prayer or financial assistance—would mean the world to us and help relieve some of the stress they are facing. My daughter, Sydney, will be managing this account for us.
