My mother, Mary Fowble, was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer in August of 2023. Since her diagnosis, she has put up one of the toughest fights I've ever seen. She has completed several months of chemotherapy, which has left her incredibly ill as she still works to recover, and has had multiple surgeries this year. Shortly after being diagnosed with breast cancer she was also made aware that she had signs of colon cancer, so she recently underwent preventative surgery for her colon as well. She has healed well after her double mastectomy, but she has another surgery planned and will have to follow that up with months of radiation. We are optimistic and believing in the best outcome, but there is still a long road to travel.

I live 8 hours away from my parents and it's very tough for me to get time off work to visit, so there's not much I've been able to do to physically help throughout this ordeal. There's nothing worse than seeing one of the most important people in your life struggle on such a severe level and not be able to be by their side to comfort them. Thankfully, my dad has been an absolute rock for her during this time. Together they take care of my sister, Alyssa, who has autism, and with my mother being sick my dad is the sole source of income in their household. He has had to take off many weeks of work to be by my mother's side through all of her doctor appointments, chemo sessions, and surgeries, and we are all so grateful that he has been able to be with her so that she doesn't go through this fight alone. He has been beyond wonderful and has truly been her strength.

With my dad taking so much time from work and their health insurance not fully covering my mother's treatment and weekly appointments, they are beginning to drown in medical bills. They are reaching the point where they are having to choose between groceries or paying their phone bill, and they can't be without a phone due to doctor and emergency communication needs. The medical bills will keep piling up. They are falling behind and it is becoming impossible to get by without help. It's breaking my heart to see them having to struggle this way on top of everything else they've been through over the past year, and I have to do something to try to help them survive financially. All donations will go toward living expenses and medical bills. They are such loving, kind people and have done so much for me, my sister, and so many others, and now they need us. Any amount of donation or sharing their of story will help more than I can ever say. We are all so appreciative to our family and friends who have reached out and been a source of healing and strength during this tough time.
