My name is Crystal and, like you, God has blessed me enough in life to become close friends with our beloved Mary Boomer-Scott. Mary is the equivalent of sunshine in human form, endlessly positive and caring. In April, Mary got life-altering news that breast cancer was found in her body. In such a short time, she has already gone through so much since then. Mary received a double mastectomy and is not able to work due to the physical limitations of her recovery. The surgeon was very pleased with the results of her surgery, but her treatment plan at this time is still undecided. As you can imagine, this news was absolutely shocking to Mary and her family. Until Mary is healed from the surgery, she is unable to lift up her two young boys, do many household chores, or go back to work—tasks many of us take for granted every day.
