Support Mary Beth Beuke Through Her Cancer Journey

Mary Beth’s cancer treatments are closer to (her Olympic Peninsula) home, so she does not have to live and travel the many hours to Seattle like she had to in the past. We recalled that she had about 7-years of remission before her cancer metastasized this time.

MB said her last round of chemo “kicked her butt too much” and thus is leery about deciding to continue further treatment. Today MB had multiple blood draws, some showing low RBC (Red Blood Cell) and anemia. Transfusions are possible. She has oncology appointments this week; where she'll have more answers and find out if the radiation reduced the tumor’s size and pressure on her spinal nerves.

Her pain was slightly more manageable last week but comes and goes as does the nausea. She's been resting a lot and she is home. She has a caregiver that comes a couple times a week, and friends (and her far away children) have been checking in.

Mary Beth very much appreciates the calls, texts, visits, warm gestures, and support. There was a cheery pile of greeting cards (and a couple snarky ones) displayed while I was visiting her.

Your gift goes toward medical supplies, medications, lost wages, travel to treatment, and daily expenses. Thank you so much for the support.
