Support Mary Anne's Hospital Needs

Hello everyone.  Thank you to all those who donated. Because of your generosity,  my sister Mary Anne was able to undergo bone marrow biopsy. Unfortunately, as you all know, she has been diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (cancer of the blood). Because 98% of her blood has been affected by cancer, the doctor suggested that she needs to undergo chemotherapy to increase her likelihood of recovery. She is scheduled for 8 sessions of chemotherapy in a span of 4 to 6 months. In addition, Mary Anne will frequently require blood transfusions. This is an overwhelming financial obstacle for my sister and her six children. Currently, her three oldest children are taking turns visiting and looking after their mother in the hospital in the Philippines.

We are, once again, asking for your help.

We strongly believe that my sister will recover, but we need your help to overcome this obstacle. Any amount of donation will make a difference. Besides the tangible act of donating, we also believe in the power of prayer and community. We would appreciate if you include my sister in your prayers. Please pray for her healing and the safety of her and her children during this challenging season.

If you are in the Philippines, we are seeking blood donors to meet Mary Anne's needs for frequent blood transfusions. Please contact

Hello everyone. My sister, Mary Anne is in need of your help. We are reaching out to you as this pandemic has resulted in financial struggles for both my family here in Canada and my family back home in the Philippines.

Please read below what her eldest daughter, Lee-Anne, has said.

"Good day to everyone!

Just a few days ago, my mother was brought to the hospital due to weakness from her blood loss. She needs a lot of red and white blood cells to regain her strength. This visit to the hospital is not the first, as she had been brought in a few weeks ago for the same condition. And it will not be the last. As her daughter, who saw her in the best condition as a hardworking and loving mother, it hurts me the most to see her like this na nanghihina yung puso nya bawat araw (translation: her heart is weakening day by day).

To make her condition go away, we need to know why she has this disease. In order to do that, we need to sample her blood for a BIOPSY test, to know if she has LEUKEMIA. However, we could not go through the test because it is expensive (20,000 PHP) and at the same time, the daily hospital costs have multiplied from medications. Seeing her lie on the bed with nothing to do to change it increases my family's anxiety.

On behalf of my family, I'm sincerely begging for HELP. If you have any money to spare, please consider donating.  Any amount would be appreciated.

My mother means the world not only to me but to my father and my younger siblings as well. To lose her would mean a harder world for them :'<
Please, please include her in her prayers also. Thank you very much!"

Thank you for taking the time to read this.
