My name is Lori and I am trying to raise funds for one of the most important people in my life, Mary Anderson.

She has been suffering with intense and debilitating pain for some time. We finally got her to the doctor, and sure enough, they sent her to the ER. She has had a plethora of things that have popped up, starting with diverticulitis, which attached itself to her abdominal wall, eroded that wall, penetrated into her hip joint, and created a large abscess. This abscess formed a large lump which grew larger and finally erupted in the exam room. She received emergency surgery that night and was able to narrowly avoid becoming septic. The initial surgery was very successful, and I hope to be able to bring her home within the next few days.

She will have to return in a few weeks and get a second surgery to have the diverticulitis removed, but unfortunately, the hospital has informed her that her health insurance will not pay for it. This was devastating news, and we all are struggling to try and figure out how to take care of what is going to be a crippling medical bill by the time this is all said and done. It is my hope that the people that know her and love her and know the kind of person she is can maybe see it in their heart to throw in a buck or two, so she can concentrate on getting better without the excessive worry of having to figure out how to deal with this additional burden.
